Who We Are
NRG SPACE Tango in Yokohama is a creative and educational tango project led by Cesar Canisales, professional dancer and teacher born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The project welcomes dancers from Japan and abroad, offering a space where tango is explored as a language of connection, musicality, and presence.

Based in Yokohama — one of Japan’s most international and culturally open cities — NRG SPACE Tango connects Argentine tradition with a global community of dancers.
Students come from Yokohama, Tokyo, and the wider Kanagawa area, creating a diverse and welcoming environment.
Maryna Amauri & César Canisales are an international Argentine Tango dance couple based in Yokohama, Japan.
With decades of professional experience across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, they combine Argentine Tango, contemporary dance, jazz, and theatrical performance.
They are the founders of NRG Space Motomachi, a creative hub for tango, dance, and performing arts in Japan.

Argentine Tango Dance Couple | Performers | Choreographers
Maryna Amauri and César Canisales began their journey as dance partners in 2015. Since then, they have performed together in numerous award-winning productions across Asia, establishing themselves as a distinctive Argentine tango dance couple known for artistic versatility and stage presence.
Their shared career includes performances in acclaimed shows such as Epic Tango, Luxury Tango, Tango Eleventh’s, and Argentine Night at Toho Dance Hall, among others. As performers, they blend Argentine Tango with contemporary dance, jazz, and aerial silks, creating dynamic and visually powerful stage works.
Beyond performance, Maryna and César are deeply committed to artistic creation and community building in Japan. They are co-directors of Arts Coliseum Entertainment Japan and founders of their dance school in Yokohama, NRG Space Motomachi, a creative hub dedicated to tango, dance, and performing arts.
Together, they are the creators, directors, choreographers, and performers of the variety show The Doors of the Hell, a multidisciplinary production that merges dance, theatrical storytelling, and visual performance.
CESAR CANISALES
Professional Argentine Tango & Folklore Dancer | Choreographer | Instructor
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, César Canisales began his artistic journey at the age of six with Argentine folkloric dances and started studying Argentine Tango at twelve. With over 27 years of professional experience, he has built an international career as a dancer, choreographer, performer, and tango teacher.
César has performed and taught around the world, including Argentina, the United States, Brazil, Chile, Italy, France, Spain, Germany, and Japan, and has been part of the main cast of some of the most acclaimed Argentine tango shows presented in major theaters across the globe.

He is the co-owner of NRG Space Motomachi, co-director of Arts Coliseum Entertainment Japan, director of Disco Retro Japan, and the creator, director, choreographer, and performer of The Doors of the Hell variety show.

MARYNA AMAURI
Professional Dancer | Choreographer | Performer
Maryna Amauri began dancing at the age of four. From early childhood, she trained in folk dance and classical ballet, and from the age of ten expanded her artistic development into ballroom dance and Latin American styles, including bachata, salsa, and merengue.
From the age of seventeen, Maryna has worked internationally as a professional dancer and choreographer, collaborating with major dance companies and artists around the world. Her career spans a wide range of styles, including contemporary, jazz, ballet, flamenco, Latin dance, and tango.
